I've been holding on to the old splash page of my website because I loved the hauntedness of it so much, but it was getting ridiculous - The Harrowing is coming out in less than two weeks now, and I need to have the new cover up.
So my fabulous web designer, Beth Tindall, just made a new page, a bit of a movie. It really looks fabulous, and I think gives more of a sense of the book. In fact, I just a minute ago got a nice e mail from someone who loved the intro so much she's already ordered the book. Can't argue with that!
So just for fun:
This is the new
This is the old
Let me know what you think!

I watched them both, old first, then new. The new one literally gave me goosebumps. Now, I've read the book, so I'm cheating a bit, but...
the new one is PERFECT!
Liked the old, love the new. This whole book jacket thing is a bit strange, don't you think?
It's hard to process the unreality of it all.
Thanks, you guys! I really have gotten terrific feedback on it. And I have to admit, as much as I resist change, it's nice to have a new look.
The book jacket thing is just, well, harrowing! I think we can't get too caught up in obsessing about the details, though. It's the overall IMPACT of a bookcover that makes me pick up the book - a combination of colors, mystery - mood, really. I don't spend any time studying the cover after that initial attraction.
So I'm just going to relax and enjoy it.
Right.
Alex, it looks fantastic! Very, very creepy. I love it!!!
